I always say, "I love spending other people's money." It's partially a joke, but I also love helping people pick out the perfect piece for their home, outfit, or gift. I believe purchases from small businesses make the biggest impact, but you don't have to take my word for it. Economists say for every $1 spent locally, approximately $.70 remains in the local economy vs the approximate $.30 when spent at a large chain. This provides jobs to people in the area, creates community, and let's face it, you get more bang for your buck!
