If you're like me, breaking any sort of rule gives you anxiety. So when signing a new lease, you make mental notes of all the possible ways you could have your security deposit revoked. If that's the case, you may be avoiding hanging anything on the walls in case of possible damage.
Or you may not want to collect art because you feel like you don't want to invest before you're in your "real" home. Even if you do purchase art, you don't want to get something large because it may not work in your future space. I totally get it!
In an effort to not let renting preventing you from loving your home, I've got three tips to help you style art, even in a rental!
1- Style art on your bookshelves. I love the look of a frame leaning against the back of a bookshelf. It instantly adds interest and doesn't have to be large to make a big impact! You can use framed prints or purchase a small stand to elevate your piece.
2- Add pieces that can be displayed on a stand to keep your walls pristine. One of my favorite pieces to display this way is my Rowan wall hanging on a stand!
3- Tabletop framed prints are perfect for moving from space to space. Whether that means throughout your home or brining to a new space when you move! I love my framed acrylic prints for this, but if you are looking for frame inspiration, see some of my favorite prints here.
