Anger. Fear. Uncertainty. And finding hope in times of doubt.
It began with the overturning of Roe vs Wade, news of another mass shooting involving children, and watching the world around me fall apart. Feeling as though I was stripped of my autonomy, my ability to do anything, and most importantly, my ability to affect any change. What was my role in this new world order? Carrying on with normalcy felt indulgent and flippant.
Yet, the only thing to do was to keep living. I lived with parallel feelings of being hopeless but also grateful at the same time. Finding the good in everything when it seemed like there was only bad. I channeled this energy into a medium that was equally unpredictable as the world around me.

Embracing the Unpredictable
I had to give up control and let the liquid dye take its organic shape on the canvas. Each brushstroke was a surrender to the chaos of the world, a reminder that beauty can emerge from unpredictability. The colors blended in ways I couldn't have imagined, creating pieces that reflected the turmoil and the hope that coexisted within me.

Finding Peace in the Unknown
As I watched the colors swirl and mix on the canvas, I found a sense of peace in the unknown. Embracing the chaos allowed me to let go of my need for control and certainty. Each painting became a journey of discovery, a reflection of the ever-changing nature of life itself.
Through art, I found a way to navigate the uncertainties of the world and find beauty in the midst of chaos. It was a reminder that even in the darkest times, there is always a glimmer of light waiting to be discovered.
